Health coach. iOS developer.
Builder of humane health apps.
I'm Paul Calver, a Precision Nutrition Certified Master Health Coach and an iOS developer with 15 years of experience. I build health apps the way I coach: evidence first, no guilt mechanics, no fake certainty.
Most health apps are built by engineers guessing at behaviour change, or by coaches who can't ship software. I've spent fifteen years doing one and hold five certifications in the other. Everything I ship, and everything I write here, comes from that overlap.
On the App Store

RYZR
Stop scrolling when you first wake up.
A morning app blocker that locks the apps you choose when your alarm rings. They unlock on your schedule, or sooner once you finish one small First Move. No streaks, and a difficult morning never erases the mornings you completed.

Oddlings
Small drawings. Big personalities.
Turn children’s drawings into imaginative characters and scenes, add a five-second animation, and keep each creation alongside the original. Made for parents and carers to explore together.
Work in progress
GoNoGo
Know when to go, adjust or pause.
Before a workout, a difficult conversation or a big decision, take a moment to check in with yourself. GoNoGo brings how you feel together with available Apple Health context to help you choose whether to go ahead, adjust your approach or pause. The pre-flight check-in for the moments that matter.
PRSNT
Be here. Not elsewhere.
Make space for focused work, quieter evenings and the people around you. Choose the apps that pull you away and when you want them back. PRSNT pauses them, then makes them available automatically when the time ends.
Manifest
We don't create change. We reveal it.
A reflection app that surfaces quiet evidence of change from your own words: perspective and agency instead of habit tracking, gamification or fake certainty.
Writing
Evidence-first articles on sleep, stress, mornings, behaviour change, and why most health-app mechanics make people worse. Written by me, sourced, and signed. Read the articles →
Behind the decks
I’m also getting back to DJing in Hastings, after playing back to back with my daughter Tiffany on her final live BBC Radio 1Xtra show. Hear the set and read the story →
